MONDAY 15TH OCTOBER 2007 - THE FLIGHT!!!
Monday was rather an emotional day! After having cryed the whole of Sunday night and into the early hours of Monday what else could I expect!!! Dad, Susie and Jane took me to the airport and we joined the que for check in with my pink, yes pink, suitcases!!! As we stood in the que a rather gay chap in a waistcoat came over and aked if I would like an upgrade!!!!! Hell yeah! I took it and was so glad i did! Loads of leg room, comfy leather seats, champane on take off, unlimited refills of wine with my meal (which had 5 courses and liqures after! Bailyes!!!!), full chair recline, and too much more to mention! But I will mention the rathe handsom American I was sat next to! And yes ladies, I did get a number!!!!!!

MONDAY 15TH - THURSDAY 18TH OCTOBER 2007 - ORIENTATION!!!
What a snore fest!!!! If it hadn't have been for the friends I made I think I would have gone insane!!!! But more of the friends later!
Most of the stuff, actually all of the stuff covered at orientation I had just spent the last two years studying at college!!!! Whilst the overly self confident and very annoying American lady stood waving her arms about, I could have been sleeping!!!! But NO!!! We had to go to every single lecture!!!! Yay!!!
Back to the friends!!! Nicole from New Zealand was one of my room-mates!!! What a laugh she is!!! We were both so glad to have a proper English speaking person room with us that we bonded instently!!!! Her host family are only about 20 minutes down the road from me!!! Hurra! Monica from Italy was an absolute hoot!!! She taught us all the swear words in Italian! The lucky bugger's host family are in LA! We're already planning a holiday to go visit her!!! And last but by no means the least was Karolina from Poland (who is also just down the road from me!)! When Karolina was around I could not stop laughing! The girl was great! Her English was not brilliant but you could understand her by the way she acted things out! So when it was explained to us that while we are on the program we are not allowed to get married or have a baby, Karolina went off on a rant about sex and men! You had to be there!!!!

Wednesday night we went on a tour of New York City by night!!! I have always loved the city, and that night my love grew even greater!!!! We went to Time Square, The Rockafella Centre (where we saw Charlotte from Sex and the City!!! And I got a photo!!!), Ground Zero, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and the best best best best bit, we met some firemen!!!!!!! Hunky New York fire men!!!!! Oh Yeah!!!

Anyway...onto...

THE HOST FAMILY!!!
Thursday at 4pm my 'host mom' Shira came to the hotel to pick me up! With her was one of my kids, Gil! He was even cuter than the pictures!!!! His little curls bounced as he walked and he had the biggest grin on his face! We piled all my bags in the car and drove to my new home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we got to the house, we drove up this big sweaping driveway and pulled up infront of the most wonderfull house! (It's a shame we're moving in December, but the new house is even bigger and better!!!!) Standing on the front porch was my 'host father' Ofer and my other kiddy Liav! He is even cuter than Gil! He has ears that are too big for his head and a huge personality!!! (I'm gonna love them both so much!!!!)

So here I am!!! It's 10:40 at night (3:40 am England time), I'm sat in my new room in my new house with my new family! After 6 months of planning, I'm here!!! I'm missing everyone at home, including, my sister (Love you Susie!!!!)!!! But everything is great here! I'll say that while I still can! I'm starting driving tomorrow!!!! Enough Said!
