Sorry it’s been a while…
Anna is well, she’s recovered from her infection just fine. She is quite relaxed at the moment, she isn’t needing suctioning too much, and she’s breathing slowly. He heart rate continues to get lower – it’s often below 100bpm at night now. Her muscle tone and movement are about the same, she’s still very stiff in her knees and ankles, but her torso and arms aren’t too bad. She’s tracking objects with her eyes better now - she can track faster and further. If she’s in her wheelchair and you spin it around, she moves her eyes and her head, trying to stay looking at whatever she was looking at. She is obviously hearing sounds – when her suction machine is switched on, she often tenses up.
She really wriggles when you tickle her feet
On the flip side, no smile, no swallow, no blink, no fine motor skills, no apparent recognition, no running, walking, crawling, holding her head up for very long at all… The trach and GJ tube are still there… All good reasons to KEEP PRAYING!!! Thanks!
Is the glass half full or half empty? I find it hard to always see it as half full, especially when sometimes it looks as though it's not half full - but just a drop of water in the bottom of a really big glass... Life is still very difficult, but very rewarding and blessed. Special thanks today to Sis. Courtney, for her extraordinary faithfulness and wonderful enchiladas, and to the BBCS School for all of Anna’s birthday cards! And special thanks to Uncle Miah, for being here every day and helping us in so many ways!
BTW, if you want to just come straight to this blog, just click on www.thoughts.com/rgrylls/blog and then bookmark that page. Then you won’t need to see any garbage that may be on the thoughts home page.
Thank you Jesus for healing Annie B!
God bless,
Richard
