| Anna Grylls update Sunday 9pm

Anna is feeling much better, she seems to be over her tracheitis and her lungs are doing fine! The botox is working now, she now can’t pull nearly so hard on her knees, so it’s easier to bend them. That doesn’t mean they bend much, but we will be working on regaining the range of motion in her knees and ankles in the next few months.
She seems to have much less secretions now – she was able to be in church yesterday and today, and this morning she only needed to leave church maybe every 20 minutes to be suctioned. Considering what she was like before, that’s a HUGE improvement! She seemed less alert today though – normally if you touch her forehead she blinks her eyes, but today she didn’t at all.
Many many thanks to Sarah Mast for staying with Lael while I was gone! And thanks to everyone else who helped out, brought meals and prayed for us all!
Many of you will remember us asking prayer for Bro. Ron Spencer back last summer – he was very badly burned in a fire, and was in the ICU for a week or more. We had the enormous pleasure of seeing him this weekend – he came and preached at our church. I know he still covets your prayers as he continues to recover. Apart from the fact that he was wearing gloves some of the time, you wouldn’t even notice that anything had happened to him – PRAISE GOD! Thank you Jesus for healing Bro. Ron!
Also many of you will remember Addison, the baby who was in the hospital at the same time as Anna last summer. I got an email from her Grandpa saying that her heart is doing well, and the doctor’s comment was “it’s a miracle!” THANK YOU JESUS for healing Addy!
China was very interesting, I enjoyed it very much. The flight over was spectacular – we flew pretty much straight over the north pole, then down over Siberia and the Gobi desert. The food was interesting, if a little monotonous – Chinese food all the time! I posted a picture of my favorite, frogs boiled in a spicy sauce (the picture is of some of the frogs before they went in the pot). Imagine eating them with just a pair a chopsticks… Beijing was crowded and polluted, but full of history and fascinating to walk around. I skipped the tour of the great wall so I could get home a day early and see Bro. Ron at church, and I was sure glad I did because it was an awesome service and wonderful to see him!
The picture of the frogs is here - viewer discretion advised:

Thank you Jesus for healing Anna!
God bless,
Richard

Welcome home! These trips broaden our horizons and our minds but it is always great to get home. So good to hear Anna is improving and hopefully today will find her more alert. You have a lot to be joyful about and I pray the Lord will continue to bless you and lighten your load, which we know He will. Great to hear from you again. Elaine
