| Anna Grylls update Saturday 9am
|
|
|
Anna made some good progress in the last 24 hours. She has started moving a lot more – wiggling her shoulders, lifting her arms, shaking her head a little. This may not sound like much, but it’s a big step forward that she’s starting to move more – kind of like when a newborn starts waving her arms and smacks herself in the face and thus learns that she has hands. She’s looking really good at the moment, wide eyes, good color, head and eyes moving, limbs not too tense.
BTW, for those of you who are concerned, I’m sure her movements are not seizures.
Her secretions are also continuing to improve slowly – yesterday she spent a couple hours sitting in her stroller and only needed suctioning every 15 minutes or so! PRAISE GOD! It does get a lot worse than that sometimes, but it is generally improving.
The only problem with her newfound wigglyness is that it wakes her up when she wiggles, so she’s not sleeping well at all. At the moment she’s only sleeping maybe 6 hours a day in total.
Many thanks to all of you who have brought us food this week! Not only have we had dinners and lunches, brownies, chocolate milk and Gatorade, but a huge box arrived from North Carolina, filled with breads, cookies, scones and teddy bears!
I was trying to remember if I ever wrote the testimony of what happened the night before Anna drowned – the crash on the way back from the Mast’s house, and the conversation Lael and I had in our bedroom afterwards. Could someone remind me? If not, I’ll try and write it tomorrow.
God bless,
Richard

Praise God! I knew she would improve more quickly at home! Just listening to the other children and the bustle of the house is going to make her want to be a part just like when she was newborn.
You didn't tell us anything about a crash. I'll look forward to hearing about that.
Here's hoping at least one of you make it to church tomorrow and get your socks blessed off!
Much love and prayers,
Larry & Deb

PRAISE THE LORD! Have a great first weekend home, my family will continue praying for your family and Anna. Your good news just made my day. We will pray that she gets some good rest tonight.

Thank you for sharing the little improvements. Have been praying for just that and will continue till we see all of the rest. We are so thankful for all that people have been doing for your family. I know it is a blessing to them as well as to you.
We love you all,
Brian and Lucille Erickson

And now we have to pray for sleep - for all of you. It's such a healing thing and will make a huge difference. Thank God for ever other improvement and thank you for letting us all know.
