We had a much better day today.Anna’s lungs are getting better, she still is quite gunky, but the gunk is getting less, and it’s getting clearer, less yellow. She is also doing fine on her feed through the GJ tube – it has been on full rate since this morning, no issues.
So, if all continues on the current course we will be ready to go home Monday.Lord willing!
Anna is continuing to make progress neurologically. We are now able to quickly calm her down.A few weeks ago, when she would wake up suddenly in the middle of the night, she would “storm”, and we were completely unable to calm her.Now when she wakes, or gets stressed out, we can just lay a hand on her shoulder and say “it’s OK Anna”, and within a second or two she calms right down! That may not sound like much, but it’s a great step forward that she is responding so well to external stimulation!
PLEASE PRAY for the usual things – swallow, stiffness, consciousness… Please also pray that we leave at the right time, and that the right time is Monday!
Also please pray for Bro. Ron!
God bless,
Richard

Bro. Levi Bish came up to spend evening here with us and learn a song together for service tomorrow. Bro. Dale Smith mentioned this song in his message on Thursday and it's so fitting to all who are going through great trials, I thought I would post on here and hope that it will be of encouragement to you and maybe others.
He’s Still In The Fire
My mama read a story from the Bible long ago, About Shadrach, Meshach, and old Abednego,How the wicked king commanded they be thrown into the flame Because they would not bow and then deny their Father’s name
Mama said the king stood high upon a balcony so tall,When he looked in he was shocked by all the things he saw He thought he would find them lying dead upon the ground, But instead of three he counted four up walking all around
Then I said, Mama, wait a minute, there’s one thing that I must know
If three went in and three came out, then where'd that fourth man go? And I never will forget it, Mama danced across the floor, These are the words I heard her say while shouting through the door
She said He’s still in the fire and He’s walking in the flame And He’ll be there to help you when you call upon His Name And He can still deliver by His almighty power, While here below it’s good to know He still in the fire
Oh now my friend you may be destined to face life’s hottest flame, But I’m glad that I can tell you thru the power of His Name, Not one flame of fire will touch you, you'll come thru it and you’ll tell, Yesterday, today, forever, God is still alive and well.
I said He’s still in the fire and He’s walking in the flame, And He’ll be there to help you when you call upon His Name, And He can still deliver by His almighty power, While here below it's good to know, He's still in the fire
God bless you. We are continuing to pray and believing that it is the Lord's will for you to come home Monday.
I'm so glad the hospital has proceedures in place for a situation like yours! That's encouraging! I hope you have a marvelous day today and that everything falls into place for you to go home tomorrow! I know you are certainly ready to be out of that place!
Just saw some photos of Anna for the first time - what a beautiful child! I am so glad things are improving so much for you. I have no doubt God will reward your faithfulness with abundance. Sleep well. E
