| Anna Grylls update Monday 9pm
|
|
|
We had a visit from Bro. and Sis. Erickson today, it was wonderful to receive pastoral advice and counseling. We are moving into a new phase of Anna's care. Up until this time, the docs have basically just been working to stabilize Anna. Now we have to make decisions about her medium-term care, basically working to get her out of the hospital and home. She needs to be held, stimulated etc, and we can't do that so well yet until that breathing tube comes out. We discussed various options including tracheostomy. We need the Lord's guidance and wisdom as we move into this new phase.
Anna's condition remains much the same. She gags sometimes, and sometimes not. She is largely unresponsive. She is mostly relaxed and still, she occasionally stiffens her muscles. She's beautiful.
It is such an awesome priviledge to be bed-side at a miracle. But satan's attack is relentless, we will CONTINUE to NEED your prayers until Annie B is whole again! I can only marvel at the work that is being done through this, please pray for ever increasing strength for us.
Jochebed (Jay) goes home tomorrow morning. She has been a tower of strength, and we appreciate all that she's done for us this last week.
God bless,
Richard

589 hits on your Monday morning update. Isnt God amazing?
When Hunter Manchack was diagnosed with his brain tumor this is the scripture that God gave Sis. Manchack:
Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
As another poster said, maybe the waiting is for another reason or another family. I have testimony for you.
I was driving with my daughter Christina up to the Jemez today when she asked about Anna. I gave her the latest. She said "I have been praying for her constantly. I have prayed more for her healing than I have for Jared's (her 3 wk old baby) jaundice." Glory be to God! Now if that prayer can lead her back to church....
The pain and frustration of staring at your baby doll and seeing tubes and moniters is immense and may seem overwhelming, but what God is doing through these terrible circumstances is awesome and far reaching. Keep the faith. God is using your Anna in a mighty way and He will be exalted in all the earth!
We love you and we're still praying! Jay, have a safe trip back.

Bro. Richard and Sis. Lael,
You may remember my wife and I. I am Amy's brother from Indiana. We went to the zoo with you a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to let you know that we are continually praying for Anna, and that members of our church are doing the same. I had to write and let you know how this has trinkled down to the smallest of childern. My son who is 5 years old and remembers Anna from the zoo, was praying for is snack before bedtime and included Anna in his prayer. I has been doing this for a few days now, and he is insistant that Satan is to leave Anna so the Lord Jesus can perform a complete healing. It is so amazing how prayers like this can volunteerly come from a little child. If we would all have the faith as a little child, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Out of the mouth of babes.
God Bless

Bro.Richard and Sis.Lael,
I know your heart is heavy to see Jay leave. I know she has been a tremendous comfort and help. May God reward her for all her labor of love. Family is such a wonderful blessing from God.
A tracheostomy is temporary and will enable you to take Anna home to familiar surroundings. They are easily reversed. We will pray for true guidance from God. The Great Physician is on her team and he is leading her care. Are you able to hold and rock Anna yet?
You are heavy on my heart today. I know this is the time when you really need prayer and support. I am asking God to move closer than ever to you. "In his presence something good always happens." Thank you for the updates on Anna's miracle. It helps our family feel connected to you and baby Anna. I gain strength myself from your comments and those writing in with such wonderful words of encouragement.
Won't heaven be so wonderful! To actually meet all the wonderful members of our heavenly family. May your mind be stayed ONLY on him. I pray you all rest well tonight.
Love in Christ,
Bro.Gary and Sis.Leisa St.John
