Anna is continuing well. She was trying to look at us during therapy today. She wasn’t succeeding particularly, but she was obviously trying! PRAISE GOD!

We went ahead with the botox shots yesterday. The negative reports in the press recently and from the FDA were regarding folks who had had many botox shots or large overdoses, so we felt the likely benefits of this first dose outweighed the possible risks. The shots take a week or so to really work, so we don’t expect much change in her leg tone for a while. After her legs relax more we will be working on her knees and ankles intensively to get the full range of motion back in them.

Anna finished her course of hyperbaric treatments today! Again we thank God for the wonderful people who run the hyperbaric facility in Wauseon, and for all the sisters who rode with Anna. Kristin goes home tomorrow. This course was a lot easier than last fall, since it was later in the morning, and Anna is a lot healthier than she was last fall. It’s been harder to tell this time that it made much change, but I think she’s more alert.
