| Anna Grylls update Friday 10am
|
|
|
Anna had a good night's rest, she is much more settled. So did we. Pray that Auntie Jay sleeps well today, she did the night-shift as usual last night.
They took Anna off sedatives completely this morning. Pray that she tolerates it. So far, all is very well.
They are also increasing her food intake, since she's tolerating the small amount she's getting now well. Pray that she can digest the increased amount well, and he intestine wakes up fine.
We are able to stimulate her more, so we're reading the bible, talking and singing. She's getting massages and stretches. Her jaw is much looser now, so they can clean her mouth better (she was clamping down pretty hard). This morning they are fitting some splints on her hands to help her fingers stay in a better position. She has the grip of a monkey, and it was difficult to keep her fingers from clamping up.
Our main prayer request is for responsiveness. Both conscious, and subconscious.
Our spirits are good. We had a wonderful midweek service last night!
This is still a battleground, the fight is continuing. I praise God and give thanks for all of you who are fighting with us!
God bless,
Richard

Sis Lael & Bro Richard,
Again, we thank you so much for the regular updates! As one poster commented, I don't know if I could do the same under the circumstances. It is so nice to know what to specifically pray for. We do continue to stand with you across the world and tell Jay we are praying for her too! How did Addison's tests go?
We love you,
Bro. Larry & Sis Deb

Richard & Lael,
We are so thankful for what the Lord has done so far and know He'll complete the work in His time. We are thanking God for how He has sustained you, kept you strong in the faith and wise in recognizing the tactics of the enemy.
Your joy, praise and solid faith is inspiring to SO many and we are thankful to the testimony and witness that you are. We enjoyed being with you yesterday, worshipping, singing and in prayer with you.
Our prayers continually with you both and Anna, our China Doll.
To the Hatfields - who have taken the other four children, Elizabeth, Jacob, Emily and Jonathan:
We appreciate your love and devotion to those kids and we know how you have kept them occupied and distracted and surrounded in love so that they do not miss their parents or worry too much. We know from experience how much a blessing it is to the Grylls to know the children are all together and in good hands and having fun with kids their age, keeping distracted at this time. It gives the parents freedom to feel they can be with Anna for all the reasons necessary without feeling their other children miss them as much. Also, because of the family living there a short time, it seems like home for them. May God bless you too.

Wow. I don't know how I hadn't heard about Anna until this morning. I just spent a long time on here reading your posts and praying. My heart goes out to you and your sweet family. I called Matthew on his way to work and his reaction was definitely a father's reaction. I don't know how to explain that comment, but I am sure all the other Daddy's out there have imagined Anna as their baby and that is how they are praying. I am looking forward to him reading all of your posts for himself. It has been inspiring to see your faith in action. It sounds cliche sometimes when we say, "Where could I go, but to the Lord?" But the truth of it never goes away. He is our strong tower, our refuge, and our strength. I can not help but wonder if there will be some who come to know Christ just because of your posting during this trial and this blogs popularity. God sure is in everything, isn't He?!!
Our family will pray continually for you and thanks so much for posting. Please tell your beautiful wife we said ,"Hello."

When the valley is deep
When the mountain is steep
When the body is weary
When we stumble and fall
When the choices are hard
When we're battered and scarred
When we've spent our resources
When we've given our all
Chorus:
In Jesus' name, we press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
Dear Lord, with the prize
Clear before our eyes
We find the strength to press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
Dear Lord, with the prize
Clear before our eyes
We find the strength to press on
To press on
Heard this on the radio a little bit ago and just thought it was fitting for you all. I know the bodies get weary but we know that God will give you the strength to 'press on' as the prize of our little Anna's healing is 'right before our eyes'. Love you all and our prayers are with you constantly. Darren and Mary
