I told my husband in a text " The roses you gave me last week are dead already. They usually last a month. I'm so sad"

My mother adviced me not say anything, she warned me he'd be upset.

But he replied, " Don't worry my love, God made many more flowers."

That just made me fall in love all over again. He is not the romantic type, so this surprised me, but I'm sure through the chick-flicks he learned a thing or two.
