 the saddest day
"it happens to everyone. as they grow up... you find out who you are and what you want, & then you realize that the people you've known forever don't see things the way you do and so you keep the memories, but you find yourself moving on."

so here it is... graduation. high school graduation. the last day of your old life. and the first day of the rest of your life. so why is it so sad? why do we have to give up the things we love in order to find new things? is there not enough space in our brain for memories? the memories are stronger then the past itself.

you cry. you hold hands. you hug your friends. you know you may never see them again. after four years of backstabbing, tears, lies, and happiness, everyone comes together, to say goodbye. even if you hate her, you hug her, you leave a tear on her gown, and you know she wont forget you, even though she might slip your mind later in life. its hard to walk away at the end of the night. tears fall from eyes as they kiss off everything they knew. goodbyes arent easy, and you will learn that the hard way almost everyday in life. you thought this day would never come, but it did, and you dont know if you will be strong enough to carry on. but you do. of course you do, because you have 4 more years of school ahead of you. the only difference is, your alone. not completely, but you are missing your high school friends, you parents, and your home. but you start over. this day you thought wouldnt come until forever has smacked you right in the face. its time to plaster on the smile. be happy you have the memories you have created stored, and be looking forward to the memories you will create soon to come.

"today is the first day of the rest of you life."
