A comfort in my time of storm...(Emily Sloop)
Why should I feel discouraged? (Why Lord, what reason do I have for being downhearted and in doubt?)
Why should the shadows come? (Why do these shadows seem to loom over my head?)
Why should my heart feel lonely? (Lord, I have no reason to be lonely)
And long for heaven and home (I long to be home, Lord, to be away from this mess and in eternal bliss with You!)

When Jesus is my portion (Jesus is the ONLY one I need...he fulfills every need!)
A constant friend is He (Jesus is constant...never fading...always the same!)
His eye is on the sparrow (And His eye is even on the smallest of birds)
And I know He watches over me (So, I know that, being His most precious creation, His eye is DEFINATELY on me!!)
His eye is on the sparrow (Yes...His eye is even on the sparrow!)
and I know He watches me (And I know without a shadow of a doubt...He is ALWAYS watching over me!)

I sing because I'm happy (I sing...oh I sing because of the joy of knowing that Jesus is watching over me!)
I sing because I'm free (I sing because I'm free from the burden of doubt and sorrow!)
His eye is on the sparrow (All of this, because Christ...yes...His eye even watches over the sparrow) And I know He watches me (And, I know without a doubt that He is watching over me!!)
His eye is on the sparrow (Do you understand!?! Jesus cares about even the smallest of birds...a sparrow!!)
And I know He watches (I know! I know because I am precious to Him...I know because of His love for me...I know because He promised me...I know He watches over me)
He watches (He watches no matter the circumstances!)
I know He watches me (I know He watches...even when utter darkness comes...He's there...always there watching over me!)

I sing because I'm happy (Oh! I sing...I sing with every ounce of my being...because of the joy His promise brings!)
I sing because I'm free ( I sing because I know that I am not burdened with the shadows!)
His eye is on the sparrow (He watches every part of His creation)
And I know He watches me (He watches me!)
His eye is on the sparrow (He cares about every small thing)
And I know, He watches me (He cares soo much about me!)
He watches me (He's always there!)
He watches (He will never leave me! He will never abandon me!)
I know that He (I know...I KNOW!)
He watches over me. (He...watches...over...me...)

I skimmed through but I think its very beautiful. I know that song. I wish I could sing it as good as you have done on your blog. Five stars from me.
