| Here goes... |
I had started this blog with the highest of hopes and the best of intentions. Unfortunately I am a procrastinator of the worst kind. But, on my way to Food Basics (Canadian discount grocery store) I found myself composing all these wonderful blog entries and what creative things I cold do with my blog. So I am here at my computer with a head full of ideas and more ambition than I know what todo with so I am going to just let if flow out of my head onto this "paper".
Here goes nothing!!
I recently went on a trip with my family to New Brunswick for my cousins wedding. This involved a two day car trip with my parents, my 13 yo daughter and my husband. We all crammed into my mom's minivan and we hit the open road for two days of driving and a lifetime of memories. Bad and good. We met up at the same hotel with some other members of my extended family. I just realized that while I type this awesome (ya right!) blog that who the hell would be interested in the trials and tribulations of a road trip with family. I am sure that we have all had similar occasions where we are trapped in a situation that there is no escape from.
So here I sit and I am writing, which is something I love to do but have not really got the guts to just let it flow. I always think about what mistakes I have made or how I could make any improvements on the piece that I had written. So then I thought, really, if somebody ever happened to read this I wouldn't have to see them or even interact with them. The glory of internet anonymity grants me the power of invisibility. I can write blogs that are bad and suck or I could write ones that are clear and concise. I realize that similar to my habit of leaving voicemail messages too fast for the recipient to understand,I have an uncanny ability to just drone on and on switching from topic to tocpic with no real logic or purpose.
Having no real purpose gives me the freedom to write as I please. I am not going to start off with a plan or a strategy. I am just going to let it run. But for now I have a table to move and an x box to set up (for my husband). I will write later when I have the ability to control my wandering mind.
