Too little information. It depends on the person involved and the extent of the abuse I would imagine. If I were to give a second chance it would be after a seriously extended break up and some might strong boundaries, as well as some soul searching, anger management courses on the other persons part. (I would also have to know the person very well and the details of the circumstance that lead up to the abuse as well as the type of abuse before giving an accurate assessment of the situation). So, I cannot give a 'yes' or 'no' answer right off the bat. My instincts say 'no'.

Absolutely not! I was in an abusive relationship, and they WILL do it again. There never is just ONE time. I'm here if you need someone to talk to.
