You've never met my Mother, have you? Well, around my house, I don't have a dad, so my mom stands as supreme ruler. If she says clean the dishes, then the dishes get done, and if she says no to going to a friends house, then there is none of that teenage stomping about and throwing a tantrum. The no is accepted and the friends are notified that I will NOT be coming over.

I'm a single mother, and I wish I was more like Aerelia's mother because I'm the complete opposite. I have three teenage kids and I feel like a complete failure as a parent. I'm very laid-back and just can't seem to tell my kids no, or enforce any rules I set. This is very frustrating to me and I keep reading on how/what I can do to be a better parent, but I've just about given up. My kids aren't bad, I just have never been the controlling type, and now that I need to be, I think it's too late. :-(
