 The End
The world as we know it will soon end according to prophecies from the bible, the Aztecs, the Mayans, Nostradamus and even Sir Issac Newton. Some have specific time frames such as the Aztecs and Mayans whose end of time prediction is on 12- 21- 2012. Sir Issac Newton predictions lands in 2060. What they all have in common is that this speck of dust floating around in the big black everything is going to die, doomed by some great war of biblical proportion and maybe even more!

Even if these predictions or prophecies fail to follow through, scientist have now began to talk of certain doom from things such as Global  warming, the extinction of certain species from the Eco System whose absence has started a negative chain reaction that may take years to affect the food chain, the depletion of land nutrients, natural resources and forest, changing the course of entire streams and rivers. All these activities with countless more will one day be too much for the air, land and sea to bare Nature will react and it woe unto it's unfortunate inhabitants.

Even if that fails surely these terrorist and countries with nuclear weapons may one day destroy this world as we know.
At their finger tips with just the touch of a button and poof! Lights out for millions of people who will not even know what had happened. Worst of all mankind's great need for progress compels him/her to improve even on these Weapons of Massive Destruction and biological weapon. It seems like the odds are stacked against us when will we all realize this and face the music together save humanity before it is gone.

By any estimation, there are many conditions that will not improve. Even without any great natural disasters, the world is turning into a very bad place. More than 100 million people were murdered by their own governments, in the 20th century. There isn't much that indicates a change in that pattern.
