Watched Eli Stone tonight after spending some time with the kids.   Great show.  I love how it ends up validating what would usually be considered insane.  
  I am rather fond of our less mentally stable patients, although you would never know it by the look on my face as I am trying to dialyze people who are attempting to jump out of bed.  But it's interesting to have no idea what someone else sees, literally.  Also the challenge of how to respond.  What do you say to someone who looks at the dialysis machine and says, "Did I win the lottery or something?" The answer, of course, is, "Do you feel like a winner?"   
   I guess I'll save The Science of Sleep for tomorrow.
