| things you tell about a woman from her purse |
|
It's interesting, choosing a purse. What I would choose would be something soft, not too structured, I don't want to have to zip anything, I don't need any hidden compartments or organizational stuff. I'd much rather have it move with me by my side rather than having to clutch or tuck it under my arm. The designer stuff has no value to me, but it is important that it's going to last. And the size of a purse, of course, points to how much insecurity a woman has..does she need to carry everything with her to feel secure, or can she go out with a few things?
Everything being metaphorical, I found that purse shopping was daunting if not impossible. I'd try on a purse, and think, gosh, I just don't feel like I need everything so zipped up. Or it would be so structured, I'd try it on and it would feel like something a control freak would have to have. And the fun stuff, as much as I think of myself as being on the free-spirited side, I just can't buy a bright blue purse. It feels really funny to me. Very telling stuff, and that's not even getting into what's inside the purse. Perhaps we should do away with job interviews and speed dating. Just get the show on the road and see what her purse is like. That'll tell you about compatibility.
