 mysteries
My garage door is one of the mysteries of the universe.  It opens quite easily.  To close it, very tricky.  It seems to be a matter of pressing the button just right, or often enough, or with just the right touch.  Sometimes I go in the house and then I go back to the garage after a few minutes, and presto.  The door closes.  I can't quite figure it out.  When I go up to the button to close the door, it's kind of like when two cats meet each other.  Can't really tell if there's going to be a fight or not, but clearly the situation is delicate.
I managed to find a way to keep the state surveyor at work out of my hair.  This is what I did.  She came out of the isolation room, and used alcohol foam on her hands.  I said, "The alcohol doesn't kill everything in there, you have to wash your hands with soap."  She left me alone after that.  I'm going to have to come up with something to say tomorrow, if she wants to pester me, I just am not going to have it.   I realize she's just doing her job, but she is making mine more difficult, and I'm not going to have any of that.
