 implant stuff. (with working links)
Next thursday we're going to try the HiRes Fidelity 120 programming on my PSP (body-worn implant).  Here's the upgrade that would be an option for me:  Harmony
So if I like the 120 program, I could either: put the program on my body worn processor, or trade in
the body worn processor for the new Harmony device. Two cool things about the Harmony:
it has a built in t-coil for the phone, and it's actually water resistant. And the programming, if it's all
that it's hyped up to be, is really good for music. So that's a cool option.
Also cool is that Phonetics just came out with a new power hearing aid two weeks ago. I didn't
do as well with the sentence testing with this one as I did with my AVR. But it makes me happy
to think of all the ultra powerful hearing aids that are being designed.
The phone thing is going to take some experimentation. I tried to talk on the phone with my implant
for a minute today, and I heard this buzzing sound. Not sure what that's about yet.
But there's the idea of being able to bluetooth into the implant and the hearing aid at the same time,
wow. I have to look into that. That sounds so neat.

I listened to the simulation of the 120 on bionic's website. It compared a CI, and the 120, to the original sound. WOW!!!!!!!!!! I have to say, this the most impressive thing ever!!!! You will Love, love love this I think.

BTW, were you notified of my comment about the worms (me painfully not saving them the other day).... Like, you are notified of comments, even if they are placed on old blogs, right?

The simulation is neat. It reminds me of how when I started listening to music after a few months with the CI, it sounded so much fuller, like there were more layers. Makes me wonder what else is there.
