I love the daycare report cards.  They write down exactly what they ate, diaper changes with times, daily activities, observations.  I love the little notes about what they played with, what they liked (Nadia wasn't happy about all the hand washing, and gave Elmo and the teacher lots of kisses; Aidan was pretty enthusiastic and caught on to the routines quickly, fell asleep on his own at naptime).  Driving the kids to daycare, I was extremely happy, I felt like I was doing a good thing for them.  Of course there's some work involved in getting everyone out the door, but I felt like such a rock star for making it happen.   And then coming home and reading the report cards, it was fabulous.  I know exactly what went on during their day.  Incredible.   If they would've had these report cards at the NICU, I would've been so much less stressed out....well, ok, not really.  But how cool.  I get to know the intimate details.  I get to know exactly how my kids are being cared for when I'm not there.
