Hey Lesley!
How are you doing? I am so excited to see everyone at MB's wedding!! I
invited Jessica so that my sister can meet my other sisters and
family.
I heard that you might be moving back to Toronto- are you looking
forward to it? That is a little bit sad because Montreal is a very
cool city.
I am just wrapping up the school year, with two weeks left of classes
and then exams, I'll be done in a month. How crazy! One year of school
done. I think I will explore my options of what I should study,
though. I am learning more about Venezuela's revolution and what is
going on there right now, it is so super exciting! I have been on a
little personal quest to surround myself with and find more "real"
people- people who are not shallow and who are down to earth and know
at a deep level what is going on, intuitively. I am excited because I
do hang out with people like that, I feel like there are no false
representations or unreasonable expectations. Another exciting part,
though, is that I feel I perhaps have the ability to influence other
people into the ways of acceptance of all people. I feel like there is
a correlation between commoditizing food and products (with the
expectation that you can always get the same sizes of salmon etc) and
of increased weight put on stereotypes and generalizations about
people. Setting people up that way is, I think, just mistaken.
I hope you have had a lovely easter weekend- it was a year ago that I
came to visit you for easter dinner in Montreal!! How awesome. This
weekend I haven't done much "easter" stuff, but I have had a couple
waffle brunches and dinners with friends.
I love you Lesley, and look forward to seeing you in a few months!!
