Greunie’s ‘Changes and Me, A Love Story’ made me think a lot. About change. I’ve always seen it as something positive, as an opportunity to make something from bad - good, not the reverse. Change is hope, promise for better times when you are down and for even better when you are happy. It’s like hating Mondays – it is logical maybe to despise the fact that the weekend’s over and, oh, NO! – back to work, to school, back to the ugly mundane… But why not think of Monday as of an opportunity to make a change about something you don’t like. Monday is the perfect opportunity you receive 52 times a year to change voluntary. We need to open our minds and to realize that change is maybe the best thing that can happen. Without change there’s no development, no growth, no nothing. As far as I’m concerned, the lack, not the presence of change is ‘damnation without relief’. A friend of mine’s mother used to say that life looks like a sailor’s T-shirt, with dark and light constantly replacing each other. And there change is essential.
