There are social-democrats who believe that political democracy and political liberty are
equivalent and identical political possibilities; that political democracy and policial liberty
are conceivable, credible and achievable.
There are modern states which are called democratic; but, these are pseudo-democracies.
Authentic democracy will not be realized until the state has been abandoned or abolished.
The father of philosophical anarchism, William Godwin, believed in the moral health of
democracy. There is, therefore, a factual precedent for my belief that libertarian anarchism
and social-democracy are correspondent, complementary ideas, and that anarchism and
democracy are associated philosophical and political ideals.
If I use the word slavery, to describe what is, that use does not make me less of a libertarian.
If I do not advocate slavery, if I condemn slavery of every kind, then, at least, I'm coming close
to a truly libertarian position.
You may ask: What is wage-slavery? The expression wage slave appears in the Encarta
World English Dictionary. Wage slave also appears in Webster's Third New International
Dictionary. The expression also appears in The World Book Dictionary, as does also the
expression wage slavery. There is a solid precedent for using these words to describe and
to define what is meant by the ordinary use of these words. I did not invent the phrase
wage slavery.
