The establishment has always played with words. Language is a labyrinth of perplexity
and of confusion. Trying to get to the truth, and then trying to communicate some of the
truth one has found, is a laborious and wearisome struggle. It is a work that never ends.
Words are the play-things of the powerful, who play on the powerless. All we can do is
play the word-game, and use words to checkmate the advantages of the powerful, to
stop the further advances of the ruling élites, the successful victors, the prosperous and
well-to-do authorities.
Trying to get to the meaning is a meandering work. But, even work can take on the
appearance of play. If we play with words, then it is only that we may also enjoy our
work with words. When does play and sport end, and when does work and toil begin,
and vice versa?
The so-called "commons" has not yet been clearly defined, much less clearly
recognized.
There are 600,000 homeless children in the United States. I never agreed to a
Constitution that can allow for such a disgraceful arrangement. The ratio of what
the average C.E.O. earns compared with what wage-workers earn is 400 to 1.
I never agreed to a Constitution that can allow for this.
Reality is rarely what it seems; reality is almost never what we are told.
"The power of the purse is a very potent political power."
