I know of no respected Marxist who has believed, or does believe, that Pol Pot and the
Khmer Rouge were following the ideas and ideals of Karl Marx.
Facts are historical things and events. Facts can exist as former facts, dead facts,
historical and bygone facts, etc. Facts can be a prologue to the present, or to the future.
The state is a past and present fact; and even if human beings can finally abolish the
state in some far-off future, the fact that the state did exist at one time, and for some time,
cannot be changed. What is historical fact will always be historical fact, even if and when
what is historical fact is no longer existing, present fact.

Ontologically speaking, do you believe that a rock and a person are the very same as far
as being is concerned? Is being and existence the same thing? Does a rock become,
the way a person becomes?
Is human nature changeable?
Is freedom the essence of human nature?
Do chattel slaves contradict their human nature?
Incorrect moral judgments are moral judgments that are incorrectly made?
"Nature is a mutable cloud which is always and never the same."
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"What is in conformity with justice should also be in conformity to the laws."
-- Socrates
