 Thoughts
Capitalism necessitated and coerced fundamental changes in human behavior in order
for it to work.  For example, modern capitalism both required and enforced the
commodification of human labor. In other words, human labor was transformed into a
marketed and marketable good. Capitalism has been a disciplinarian force, pushing
and pulling labor, with the support of the modern authoritarian and liberal state.

There are different libertarianisms. There is libertarian capitalism, and there is libertarian
socialism. If a natural progression is realistic, then the libertarian socialism is as much
about natural progression as is libertarian capitalism.  Really-existing capitalism has
always been a playground for the strong dominating over the weak, and the modern
authoritarian state is the repository of power over the people. There can be no libertarian
arrangement unless or until the people -- as educated, experienced, and conscious
citizens -- are a check on the power of those whom they elect to represent them in
matters of public concern. A true democracy is more about a balance of powers between
the government and the citizens; but, really-existing modern liberal democracies are more
about the balance of powers between the branches of authoritarian liberal governments.
All power is invested in the modern state; but, in order for there to be a true balance of
powers, all power must be entrusted to the people, who may then deputize representatives
where and when this is needed. The franchise is not enough; the vote is never enough.

"The mob is the mother of tyrants."
