If an oil company will pay $10,000 to any scientist who will cast doubt on the United Nation's
global warming report, then that scientist who is willing to take the money is prostituting science,
and is not doing science.
The true scientist does science from a desire to do science, not from a desire to get paid for
doing science. The true scientist both takes and gives knowledge. The true scientist learns
from others, and teaches others. So also, does a true lover make love from a desire to make
love, not from a desire to be paid for making love. To make love is to give love to the other,
and to take love from the other. True love is not done for money. The true lover does not make
love in order to make money.
