Welcome back. The thought of getting what you are doing unto others makes us act. This
ceaseless action again follows Newton's third law or karma and makes the world go round.
What if we act (good of course) without expecting anything in return? Will there be any
disappointment then?

Ron Allen answers:
If I act morally, if I act honorably, if I act rightly, if I act virtuously, etc. then I will be happy and I will
not be disappointed with my own self.  If I act ethically and admirably, then I have acted for the
sake and cause of goodness itself.  If others act unethically, then I will be disappointed with
them.  If you act outside moral law, then you stand outside the principles and protections of
moral law.  If you murder, steal, etc., then you are acting outside the precepts and safeguards
of moral order, and you stand outside the moral prohibitions against murder, theft, etc.

I'm still searching for the foundation you are building upon. How do you define "moral law", "honor", "virtue", or "ethics" if rights are imaginary as you posted before? If there is no lawgiver or absolutes, who defines moral law or moral order?
