| So much to write . . . so little time.

I returned from NJ last night and I spent my morning catching up with some of the thoughts blogs that I check regularly as well as working.
I have a lot to write about but very little time to do it in, therefore this will be an overview of my trip and I'll go into some subjects seperately as I have time.
I flew out on Wednesday night, my flight was first delayed by weather, then we were on the plane and we were told they had to refuel, lastly we were held up by traffic getting out of Tampa International. I finally got there around 9 pm. My cousin with the same name as me (Betsi) and my godson/little 7 year old cousin - Joshua picked me up from the airport. When I got home my aunt had dinner ready - Arroz con pollo or chicken and rice. I gained 5 pounds in the 5 days I was there! My family can cook and I can definitely eat. I'll be dieting and working out this week (joy) to loose it.
Joshua spent the night with me at his grand parents. He was so excited to see me it was adorable. When I got up the next morning, I made him breakfast and the rest of my cousin's showed up just in time for breakfast too. I spent some time with them and eventually left for my other uncle's house. I walked over to my uncle's house, part of the reason for this trip was to help him clean his house so that he can potentially have a home health aid stay with my aunt, who was sick a couple of weeks ago. My uncle Lionel, aunt Emily are horders to a bad point! I was there for 10 minutes to evaluate the situation and left with two thirty gallon trash bags full of junk. ***Then I went to Hoboken where I got a pedicture and met up with Meredith! I had a wonderful time, she was just as easy to talk to in person as online. We shopped, walked and ate avocado's in yummy guacomole at a local restaurant. I'll share pictures soon!*** Hopefully we can get together with Blue soon.
On Friday, I woke up early and my aunt and I went to help uncle Lionel with his house. In 5 and a half hours we were able to clear out the living room. I won't go into detail because just talking about it pisses me off! I was able to get public works to send us a garbage truck to pick up all this junk. I was excited at the prospect of getting it all cleaned up but I'll write about hording later. I really don't get why people do it.
Anyway while I was there, we ate a lot, talked a lot and laughed a lot. I could not ask for a better family. I usually get really sad when I get home because I want them nearby and miss how they are together and with me. This trip, Brian was very sweet and it's the first time I'm not sad upon getting back.
I flew in yesterday afternoon and Brian picked me up at the airport. He was waiting outisde of the tram. He gave me a big hug and kiss when I got in. He went with me to look at cakes for my 27 Dresses party in 2 weeks. Then I went to sign the lease on my new place and I talked to Jen for a bit. She's pretty upset at me for getting wrapped up with Brian again. She wants to talk today. She was suppose to meet me at my new place at 5:15 but at 6:10, I had to leave because I had dinner plans with Brian, his dad and step mom.
We had a wonderful time at dinner, they cooked a yummy meal. His stepmom had an italian dad and a spanish mom and she is a wonderful cook. We then walked on the beach and watched the sunset. He has such a good family. His step mom says words in italian and spanish all the time which is endearing. We drove home and had some good conversation.
Brian and I bickered a little when we got home but we resolved it pretty quickly and he stayed over. He even went with me to see my new place, he noted some things that I had not noticed during my walk through. I had a wonderful last few days. I'm glad to be back.

Welcome home! I am glad you enjoyed the rest of your trip and the time with your family, although it sucks that you had to spend so much time cleaning. Also glad you are getting along well with Brian and that he was so happy to see you. You must post pictures of your 27 Dresses party - that sounds like so much fun.

I will definitely post pictures. Maybe I'll post some of the new place too. I can't believe I'm going to have a front porch and a lanai!

Welcome home!
Glad you had a nice trip.
Who knows about hoarders, Mom is one also. Something about having very little when she was a child. My aunt(her sister) is the very same way.
Enjoy Brian, theres something there or you wouldnt still be receptive to him.
Hugs!

I am so glad that you enjoyed your trip. Must have been nice to see Meredith.
I must admit that I am sort of a hoarder. Just certain things that I keep and always mean to look at, but never do, then it stacks up.
I think that 1221 is right about Brian. I think there is something there. Hope ya'll have a nice time. I'm really happy he was so glad to see you.
Best Wishes.

It's really good to hear you are back and, more importantly, that things are good with you. As to the hoarding thing, I couldn't agree more. One of our sons has kept every one of his toys and stores them all in our garage which really pains me. One of these days I'm going to get a skip and they are going to go right in! It was good of you to help in that way and you will have the knowledge that you have done your bit to help in the best way possible. Glad also that you had a happy homecoming. Enjoy the rest of your week and look forward to your new porch.
