I have to share this story because some of you will get a laugh out of the things that happen in my life or things I do.

Some background - I live in a somewhat urban community with tons of people that parallel park on the street. We have alleys and all sorts of wierd one way streets. I have this off the wall friend who lives 4 blocks away and talks non-stop. She drives me crazy so I take her in small doses or I don't at all. She talks non-stop and it's all about her and how much money she has/wants.  At one point, I thought she was obsessed with me and left me as many as 5 messages in a day, that I did not respond to.  She means well but drives me bonkers.

Story - Yesterday as I was getting home, I was having an important talk on the phone and I did not want to hang up yet. I knew Brian was over making dinner and I parrallel parked 1/2 a block from home so that I could finish. Anyway, I look in my side mirror and I see her **running** over towards my car with a huge golden retriever. It's not like I ever park on the street, I have a garage so she should see something is up, it could also be someone else in a car like mine, it's a common car but nope, she's running up to my car.

Since I'm having an important talk, I take off, litterly. She was about 100 ft from my car. I drive 5 blocks away and I parallel park near an apartment building that's pretty hidden. After a few minutes, when the phone call is finishing up, I start to pull out - I see her again! I reverse like a mad woman through an alleyway and to a side street. I finish up and finally pull into my driveway, having driven down a one way alley in the opposite direction to get there without running into her again.

I walk in and Brian says - "Julie was just here". She pounded on the door twice so I got it. She was insistent you were here. She had a huge dog with her and Shelby was going crazy, trying to get out. I told her you were not here yet and she said that you were and you were in the garage. When Brian said, he had not heard the garage she said I was there and to tell me to call her when I opened the door, she needed to talk. I was laughing at this point and explained what had happened.

When I'm done finishing the story, my phone rings. She had gone to a neighbor's house that I'm friends with and complained about how rude Brian was and how he almost brought her to tears. Oh boy. I get the friend off the phone have dinner with Brian. AfterwardsI leave for a run.

Guess who I run into? Yep, her again. I'm cursed. She proceeds to tell me how she has always defended Brian and how he was very condesending and he was all mine. It was a non-stop 5 minute monologue on her part accounting the story. When she's done she asks, so do you want to go out Friday night.

Are you kidding me?
