Mindless Update

Aside from all of my Brian issues I wanted to post something more mindless about my weekend. Having friends is great and I would not trade mine for the world.

So on Friday Jen and I went to the Spa for a girl's night out package, hair, nails and toes. The spa we chose was not the best but it was acceptable. My hair turned out cute for the evening so that's what matters. Afterwards we met Becca who was here from Gainesville at my house and went out to eat Spanish food. We all shared different Tapas and had dessert. It was great, we talked and laughed. Bec has this talent for saying some outrageous things that make you laugh or think equally. She also makes great faces. Then afterwards we walked to a bar in my neighborhood, had a beer and came home. It was a fun night.

On Saturday Bec and I went for a walk while Jen had breakfast. We ended up at a friend from Jacksonville's house, they live less than a mile away.  Then when Sam got in town we all went to the deli for lunch. It's my favorite deli.  The amuzing part is there are 2 cute guys that work there and one of them asked me my name.  They were very playful.  When I came back to get bagels later they remembered my name and were giving me a hard time about living in the preppy neighborhood where the deli is.  They were complaining about the people that live there.  Although I would not date either of them, they are both very built and good eye candy. 

After the experience at the deli we did a little shopping before heading to my favorite Tex mex place for dinner. The food was amazing as usual; I had churros with chocolate and caramel for dessert. We also went to see Lisa Lampanelli. I had never seen her before and she was pretty outrageous. I laughed a lot but it's definitely not for the type of people that get offended. My friend Sam had this huge lady next to her who was sitting with her legs wide open wearing a dress with a huge slit in the front. She kept digging in her purse, she smelled and took up half of Sam's seat. That interaction caused me to laugh because Sam took it so well and joked about it.

Afterwards we played Uno and drank cocktails until after midnight. Sunday, Jen had asked me to make it her day. It would have been her wedding anniversary as well as a year since her husband moved out and a year since her last boyfriend slept over for the first time. So after Bec & Sam left, Jen and I got ready for our day. I surprised her with Glamour Shots. I know it sounds corny but she's very into looking good and I knew she would love to have pictures of her and of us. During the picture taking, I changed into 3 different outfits and so did she. They do your hair and makeup and I have to say that I loved the pictures of me. I don't know what was so great but I really liked them. I purchased 2 or 3 of them and will post them when I get them on Friday. They were pretty amazing. Afterwards, we went to Ceviche's and had tapas before joining her brother to see Iron man. It was a good movie, I stayed awake amazingly enough.

There was some drama in between. Chris had needed to come to Tampa to pick up equipment for work and had asked to stay over at my place. I said no because we were having a girls weekend, after much debate I agreed that he could stay over Sunday night and join Jen and I for dinner and the movie we were going to see with her brother. He thought that was great but when I told Jen, she got mad and said it was her day and she did not want him to join us for dinner. I tried to change her mind but she would not budge. I called Chris and said he could come to the movie. Well he got his equipment on Sunday but did not come by to see me because he felt Jen was being selfish and he did not want to deal with her. Again, I was put in a hard place when it comes to Jen. Chris is a good friend and we talk almost every day but I had made plans with her and I felt like I could not bring Chris if she was not ok with it.   Chris and I talked and he was fine about it, he just says lately he can't stand how Jen is.  Oh well.  Let's hope for better things this weekend in Orlando
