| Finding Inner Peace |
|
When I was a kid, my parents fought all of the time. I would literally pray for peace. I would ask God to grant me and my family peace.
As I got older I continued praying for peace in my life. I found it for several years of my life and now I need to find it again.
My heart is troubled and I need to calm my heart before I will find peace again. Calming a heart can be harder than you think. Sitting still and looking within at what is really there can be hard to do because it scares us to see what we may find.
Looking within and accepting what has happened to us and not fearing the future will help us find peace.
Peace is not the absense of troubling things, pain or everyday challenges it's knowing and believing that everything will be fine afterwards and therefore accepting what happens without fear.
Sometimes you can look at someone and see how they handle this worlds troubles and see peace within them. I want to be one of those people. It does not mean that Iwill not hurt, it means that we will accept what happens and hurt less because of that acceptance.
The struggle to argue, fight and fuss is not worth the emotional damage and toll that it has on us. We can talk instead of argue and we can wait instead of fuss. Everything has a time and a place and finding that time, tone and place is finding peace.
