Doctor's Appointment

So I had my doctor's appointment today and things went well. I am getting close, he said he would be surprised if I went past this weekend. She is as low as she can go withought active labor and I am 3 cm now. He is on call tomorrow and Monday. I have a feeling it will be either tonight or tomorrow. I had some contractions while I was with the doctor which is good. Contractions are not what I expected, they are more lower back pain that kind of comes around to your abdomen.

I am getting a little nervous about all of this but I know everyone makes it through. Lolo's mom just called her and told her she should come, I was going to wait until they were closer together to tell her because I don't want her to rush and what if they don't stay this way. We shall see what happens in the next few hours.

Hopefully the next time I write, I can tell you about Emmalyn's first day.

N - if you are having the kind of contractions that start in your lower back and radiate around to the front - those are the real ones.

Labor pains start in your back.

If you are having the back to front contractions and you are dilated to three cm, you ARE ready. I don't see how your water isn't broken already.

You'll have a baby by Monday. Can you give Lolo my number or Meredith's number? She or I can come on here and give everyone the good news when Em gets here or when you go into the hospital.

You are going to be great, N. You are strong, healthy and you are surrounded by people who love you. We are praying for you. Just remember how loved you are and that you are NOT in this alone.

Well, that was quick!

Ok - I don't have much information at all, but I do know that baby Emmalyn has made her appearance on Earth now and I believe all is well all the way around!

Em wanted so badly to be born on Jaded's birthday, so she waited until today!

More information will be forthcoming when one of us gets it. If that one of us is you, please share!
