 24 weeks and counting . . .
Today I had my 6 month doctor's appointment.  It went pretty well.  I had gained 4 lbs the previous month and that was my total which I was excited about but I gained 9 this month.  Yikes!  I think it's all the traveling, I went from eating fruit and veggies all the time to having Dunkin Donutes for breakfast, eating out for for lunch and dinner.  Today I am exhausted!  I am struggling with making it through the day.

Work has been kicking my butt.  I have been working 10-14 hour days and it's catching up with me.  I have been to Georgia three times in the last 30 days for work and in addition to driving 4 hours, I end up working long hours.  Tomorrow I have a really good friend coming to visit.  I haven't seen her in a couple of months so I am looking forward to the weekend with her.

I finally registered because my friends are planning baby showers.  It was kind of fun.  Her room is going to be decorated with lady bugs.  I found a really cute set with pinks and greens.  Everything else will be pink and brown - stroller, car seat etc.  It's amazing how much stuff you need for a baby!  From bottles to car seats to cribs, it's unbelievable that someone so little can require so much stuff!

At the appointment today, they checked her heart and did an ultrasound.  Everything looks good.  It's surprising to see how big she is compared to the last visit.  A couple of people have asked me about the name and I do have a name in mind and it's a little bit of a different one.  I am thinking of Emmalyn.  I had a person that took care of me when I was little named Emma and I adored her.  I also want her name to be different but easy to pronounce.  What do you think?

As far as Brian, things are going well.  We are talking a couple of times a week and he comes to visit every couple of weeks.  His parents call all the time to check in.  They are both great.  The last time he was here we cleared out the babies room with me and wen went and picked up a few things from friends for her such as the pack n play.

Hope everyone is having a great week and enjoys their weekend!

So glad things are going well with both of you. Sounds like Emmalyn is going to have a wonderful room.

I love, love the name! Very pretty. I also love the pink/brown combo...that's my favorite. Oh, and I got exhausted just reading about how much you are working, by the way. Sounds like you need a vacation! :)
