 on Emo Kids
Everyone wants to be cool, right?  If you haven't found your niche yet, why don't you become an emo kid?  You can confuse your boredom and apathy on being misunderstood (in reality though, you're just a lazy ass).  Trust me, being emo is what its all about now.  That alterna "no one uderstands me" is like the 2007 version of punk, only not as cool or revolutionary [or original since emo stemmed from punk].  But how do you become an emo you ask?  This is where I come in.  I present you Kate's tips on being emo.
Kate's Tips for Becoming Emo
1. First off, dye your hair.  I don't care if its black.  If you want to be a cool emo (ie Scene Kid), you're muse is the skunk.  You know, blond and black.  Sorry kid, if you want to be different you have to follow these rules!
2. Quit any and all activities.  Say you're a cheerleader.  Well that's not emo is it? Emo kids are antisocial and only like being around their kind.  Quit the squad, you'll be much more miserable [and therefore authentic]
3. Only shop at Hot Topic, and any other "alterna" store.  This means no abercrombie, American Eagle, or Holister.  You don't want to associate yourself with the preppies do you?  This includes your underwear.
4. Start listening to really awful music.  With sappy lyrics.  Throw away all your hip hop and rap and country.  Emos are too cool and too busy to be misunderstood to give other music a chance.  Try Dashboard Confessional, All American Rejects and for you hardcore types My Chemical Romance.
5. Begin to carry a journal around.  You don't have to write in it [for the love of God, don't]. but you have to pretend that you're "deeper" than all the high school/college bullshit.
6. Find a girl or boy you really love, get them to go out with you and then get them to dump you.  Your fellow emos will start to accept you more if you've had a heartbreak.
7. When you start to get sick of the emo trend, don't be afraid that you'll be uncool.  There are many different groups untapped to be explored that are related to emo (so you don't have to throw EVERYTHING away...unless you're rich).  Try Goth, Teeny Bopper Punk and Metal.
HAPPY SADNESS :)

its very good that you have such a way with words but i really think that sarcasm is unnecisary, there are plenty of ppl who are struggling with something in their life and appear to be "emo" however it is not comfortable to be categorized as suicidal teenagers, we do not all slit our wrist and scream that no one understands us. we go out with out friends and do normal things. just because of the clothes that we buy--yes from hot topic. does not define who we are, so hopefully your post was just all in good fun xD have a good day!
