| My First Blog |
Ok. I've never really had any appreciation for the blogging world. I suppose this is because I hardly ever really care about what other people have to say. Strangers for that matter. Sure, I appreciate the knowledge of acclaimed writers, philosophers, and other people with credibility but I could care less about what the average cyber-stranger has to say. I've always thought of blogging as "today my cat shat all over my living room but I still love him because he's my little Mr. snuggle-kins and I love him!" I'm now starting to see blogging as an expressive free-writing medium. I'm sure everybody has their own reason for blogging, some more credible than others, but who am I to judge?
I guess I was inspired to start blogging by some friends of mine who like to write facebook notes about the excursions going on in their interesting lives. I never really found my life to be interesting or worth writing about but I guess that's because I had no reason to really look for the exciting elements of it. I believe that motivating myself to continuously look for the excitement in my life so I can blog about it will allow me to become a more observant person and teach me to appreciate the world around me. I chose to avoid writing facebook notes because I wish to keep this anonymous. I'll probably tell a few friends who I feel might appreciate my writing, but aside from that, this is just for me to get some ideas out of my head. I want to get better at writing, learn to better observe and appreciate the beauty in my life, and maybe just get out all the nonsense that goes around in my head and I figure blogging will be a good way to accomplish these goals. So, here goes nothing.
