| The Toy(s) I’ll Never Give Up!!! |
It was 1985 and I was 11 years old and I wanted a Cabbage Patch Doll and it's pet the Koosas. I asked my Granny for it, and when Christmas Eve came we celebrated my birthday and as one of my gifts I got the Cabbage Patch Doll, and then we all celebrated Christmas with Granny and to my surprise I had the Koosas, the Cabbage Patch Preemie Doll, Stroller, Bed, and High Chair. My Granny spent a fortune on me that year.
Later in life I found out that my Granny stood in line at the Mall outside the doors in the wee early morning hours of coldness from the snow for 2 hours so that she could be one of the first people to get these Brand New and Hottest Item. She then spent over $400.00 US dollars on my stuff.
My Granny went through HELL just to see her baby (me) smile on Christmas Eve. I still have all of those items all in protective covers safe and sound. I will NEVER give up these toys because of the sacrifice my Granny made for me. When I die, they will pass to my son whom has strict orders to never let anything happen to them or I will come back from the grave and haunt him...lol.
No he is to take care of them and continue passing them down throughout generations with the same strict instructions I gave him, therefore my Granny will live on forever in our family.
So what TOY(S) will you NEVER give up??
