| The Difference Between Making Love and Having Sex |
~Is there a difference between “Having Sex and Making Love?”~
Yes there is a distinct difference between the two. Having Sex is just a physcial connection of sexual pleasure and intercorse that leads to the release of gratification. Having Sex does not go beyond the sexual intercourse, it is merely the physical act that just satisfies a sexual urge.
Having Sex can be described as a mechanical act without any emotions. This is what animals do. Have you ever seen two animals Have Sex and then snuggle afterwards, or spend quality time with one another?
Now Making Love is all that plus the deep emotional connection and affection that is a shared bond between two people. Reaching a climax during Having Sex is great, but reaching a climax during Making Love is so much more explosive within itself because it involves the state of mind where Having Sex is more the mechanical mode of the brain.
Making Love involves everything from the heart, the soul, and the mind. There is a connection there between the two people of trust, love, and loyalty. You have shared all your secrets, fears, and dreams with this person. You have made a sexual connection with them without the physical touching. There is an attraction there that goes beyond what the eyes can physically see.
Since there is a difference between Having Sex and Making Love, I think this is why a lot of people seem to see no harm in cheating on their spouse or significant other. I think these types of people cannot see the difference and therefore they do not understand what the big deal is. However these people are wrong for doing this, just because they were just Having Sex snd it did not involve no feelings doesn’t mean that your feelings did not get involved from the pain and hurt you suffered when discovering that your significant other has cheated.
When a person cheats it does involve feelings of all kinds. First it is going to involve their significant others feelings when they find out about their indescretion. Next it involves the cheaters own feelings, now the cheater may not have any feelings for the person they are Having Sex with, but what about the cheaters feelings for their significant other? If they really loved their significant other or cared about them then they either would not cheat, or they would respect their significant other enough to leave them first before cheating. Last what about they other person that they cheated with. Just because the cheater has no feelings for the person they cheated with does not mean that the other person does not have feelings for the cheater they are Having Sex with.
So with all this in mind then yes there is a difference between Having Sex and Making Love and now you have to ask yourself where does your sexual relationship with your significant other stand? Are you just Having Sex or are you Making Love?
