Thought for myself on middle age
I took a quiz called whats your real age.According to my answers my calculated age is 76.BIG EYE OPENER.That puts me 32 years past my actual age.Hopefully this will reactivate my brain and make me try harder.I really would like to be around for a long time.I would like to see Tim as an old fart.I know if I dont change a stroke or heart attack just might keep me from that.

Im going through so many changes.Somedays my skin is as dry as a popcorn fart and other days looks like an oil tanker leaked all over my face. This kind of feels like puberty.I have always had oily skin, though not like this.My hands look like they belong a cadaver I suppose i can thank old man winter for that part.

Even my hair........oil slick, and just hours after its been washed.I have to keep switching between brands.Today I started a new one, hope it works better than the others. Its been so wierd,I can use one for up to a week and then theres all this build up.To describe the feel is even wierd.Feels almost waxy and my hair feels matted.I dont get it

The new hair growths well I have to face it I've been putting up with that for a long time. They just love to show up where they shouldnt be.I fear being in a nursing home with a full beard and chest hair. With my luck my kids will sell tickets to offset the cost of my care.

My eyes,I got my first pair of glasses in the 4th grade.I recently got my first pair of bifocals. It was only a matter of time.Im just happy to see at this point.

My hearing.....good grief I think that went south at a Ted Nugent concert back in 78'.Since having kids I think I have more of a "selective" hearing.I hope I dont eventually need hearing aids,I watched my Grandma have too many problems with hers.Maybe I'll luck out?

Driving,I never really have liked it.On a country road no problem.Driving through New York city during rush hour anxiety attack central.I feel for those that have to commute in large cities.Im kind of looking forward to being chauffeured around.I want to be Miss Daisy going to the store.I hope I remember this when it is time to hand over my license.

Sandy note to yourself.Try and embrace these changes. When you have to switch over to turtlenecks through all four seasons just embrace it girl.

Hey Kid! I'm pushing 72, have a 'broken' back and PTSD, still jump tall buildings at a single bound, don't give a rat's ass how many wrinkles I have earned, love my wife and dogs, go around smiling all day just to keep the world guessing, and I am truly happy!
Gettin' older just means gettin' better, and thats the truth!
Cheers...

I used to have very dry skin on my face, but in the last few years I have been using "Dove" Face Care PROTECTIVE TINTED MOISTURISER SPF 15. Now my face is more glowing & subtle . This cream is available in tubes with 2 choices of colours: honey and beige. Very cheap and work well for me. I wear it as a foundation.I think it is good because it has sunscreen (SPF 15).They say that sunlight damages skin, and for me this Dove Face Moisturiser also reduces sunspots too.

As for hair, lucky I have normal type of hair. But I read somewhere if you have very greasy hair and shampoo for oily hair doesn't work, you can try daily shampoo (the organic one if possible). So it means you have to wash your hair everyday with that shampoo.

I know what you mean :( we women are more worried of old age compared with men. My husband always says to me that I am not old. He said that a person is old when he/she is 80 something. (Probably I'll be dead before reaching 80, so it means I die young... LOL)

Hi Gwatlan,Thank you for your suggestions:)I'd love to have normal anything, lol.I've got a few more days on this shampoo to see what will happen.Im to the point of using dish washing soap.I did find a "face" primer. It's silicone based, today is the test. It's been on for 3 hours so far so good.Im hoping I can get at least a good 8 hours with no oil slick.
