This morning I had to run some errands.Pick up "that" book to prepare myself, grocies and whatnot.I went to the asian market(love that place)the butcher(love that place too)and Aldi(I really love Aldi)Anyhoo im in Aldi getting my dairy items and assorted stuff.I get in line.If your familiar with Aldi they usually have only 2-3 employees at a time.Anyhoo im in line only one lane open theres this cute old lady in front of me.She is an itty bitty slip of a person.Could'nt have been more than 4'8",little pink knitted cap with a pom pom, dress, sensible shoes. Before I go any further I must admit I adore old people.Im cranky and a pessimist but I tell you what a conversation with a senior citizen always makes my day.
We get to talking just small talk, then it's her turn to put her stuff on the belt.Shes in between the counter and her cart putting up her groceries. She says "good thing were both skinny so we can fit through here".I laugh, im not skinny some days im a rhino and some I feel like a midget elephant.Anyway I reply back" your the skinny one".She just smiles and says "as long as your happy honey".I really wish I hadnt said what I did.She was being kind and I should of just excepted it and said thank you.Sometimes its just better to shut up.
You can teach an old dog new tricks.Thank you Miss pink hat lady :)
