 QOD two days late
Apologies on being late. Sorry for dropping the ball Luci. I'm on the tail end of my long weekend in Pittsburgh.

Seeing as family problems are a real pain in the ass.....yes my question will appear shortly.....I'm on vacation dammit, give a kid a break...

Kids Since I haven't been around very much and the lazy factor is also setting in. I know theres a gaggle of footsteps I'm following. You all know who you are, unfortunately I don't. I was passed the baton by Luci, so here it goes.....

Every family has a royal pain in the ass, theres a few in this one. For the record the whole lot is awesome. As in all things in life there has to be a few thorns....

Question is...Do you shoot them?

Ignore the silliness?

Again can you shoot them? Ans is anyone here a good lawyer? It's a possibility I could need one.

Interesting question ... no you cannot shoot them.

Umm I have an annoying sister, My choice is to see her as little as possible.

I have a shovel and will help you bury the body! :o) ;o)

Would this count? My daughters mother-in-law and oldest sister-in-law.

Yes our family also has more than one royal pain in the ass! Usually you don't need to take any measures to do anything too much to them. They seem to create more drama to keep themselves busy. I guess that is the catch, they always want to spread the drama around to everyone else.

uhhhh, no, shooting is too good for the royal pains in the keester, what you do is:
1. Inquire in thier name into very persistent religious sects, the kind who make house calls
2. or, enroll them into a cult
3. or you join a cult
4. become raw foods vegans, starve them out
5.embarass them in public, wear pajamas everywhere
6.declare yourself a pyschic,say:I see dumb people
7.okay, so maybe none of this works, but you won't be arrested either.

sadly illegal in the UK too - though you always have the defence of temporary insanity, intoxication of diminished responsibility...alternatively, make it look like an accident. I always said with ex hubby I could have committed the perfect murder - he was (is) type 1 diabetic, and he didnt take care of it...I used to joke I could gradually add sugar to his coffee, his food etc...and no one would suspect. good thing I left him when I did, or sooner or later he may have actually driven me to it!! Lol xxx

Oh yes, maybe every family has "one of those". But no, we cannot shoot them either.......four little walls for the next twenty years still isn't worth getting my mother in law out of my life! But maybe I could pop her on a boat and ship her over to you? Just let me know when you're ready to take her for me, asap! :)

oh shoot!
They shoot horses, dont they?
but not people
every family has black sheep, sounds like you have a herd!

you can go gunning for them, but you can not shoot bullets

when I asked someone once, how in the world did he have so many well behaved children, he replied,
"Where there is a will, there is a way!"
so you shouldnt wish them any ill will, but you can omit them in your will!

you can

please try to stay out of the joint...but just in case you hit someone with that baton, which can be a dangerous weapon if you are angry enough, and I think you are...please tell us who is twirling next?

Shooting someone would mean I had allowed another human being to upset the tranquility of my soul. I make it a point never to give anyone that much control and power over me. Like most families my family includes a "pain in the ass" or two. When I must be in their presence I remain calm, businesslike and formal ... I listen, but keep my opinions to myself and am very general if I'm forced to share anything about myself. It's hard for a "pain in the ass" to be in rare form all by themselves. Have I not gone to a certain event where that "royal pain in the ass" would be attendance ... you bet. Sometimes staying under the radar gun is the most desirable option. Peace.

Pita, If I made you look bad, let me know, because I didn't mean too. I'm sorry. Honestly, I just didn't want to pass it to anyone else, because I knew yours would be hysterical. But I guess people are talking and gossiping so before anybody talks shit about Pita, talk shit about me. I'm fine with it. She doesn't deserve it.

We need bootlady and her foam bat! We need to be here for each other. Why else are we here?

Thanks for the suggestions kids, you guys gave me some good ones.
Luc, you didn't make me look bad. If people talk no worries, life is too short to worry about chatter:)

I think the baton should go to the youngest member little Stanley :)

My answer is also late to this QOD, but hey, I've been on a long weekend myself. Although it's not original, my family really did put the FUN in dysFUNctional. I have a couple of relatives that I don't relate to very well, but they live a relatively far distance away from me so I don't have to deal with our relationships consistently, so I'm lucky. I do love this question and I am going to start reading pitapie50 and luckyluci every day. I would like to give one of my in-laws up for adoption and one of my siblings, is that possible?

"But I guess people are talking and gossiping" ??????

I have not heard a negative word about any such gossip, but if anyone around here

in never never blog land

has the nerve to complain

about anything...

maybe one of your relatives could pay them a little visit,

heck, if they need something to complain about,

we'll give it to them!

oh if shootin was that easy! look at me, i'm psycho! my younger sister. she's got my dad's ego and temper. no matter what, she HAS to be right. and she will go to any extreme to have it her way. she often disrespects my dad and mom. she doesn't even show the consideration a human would show a stranger, to me! she fights with everyone and expects to win each time. pain in the butt!!!!

classic family! we are all like that, I think the psychos are evenly sprinkled in all families. I got mine too.

Yes you can shoot
but remember if you come after the king you have to kill the king...in other words make it count...LOL

I never answered your question...I think shooting is the best possible solution. :)

I'm a day late and a dollar short, too Pita! And yes, circe - I'm armed and dangerous with my nerf bat!!

While family PITA's are most definitely non-fun, killing them doesn't always make them go away.

My not-so dearly departed father-in-law, who once, in his alcohol-blurred wisdom, took once glance at his beautiful newborn granddaughter for the first time, then grunted to me "next time give him a son." If I'd have been armed, he would not have survived the next 30 seconds. Unfortunately, he persisted for several more years issuing other such wonderful grandfatherly gems. (He taught said beautiful granddaughter the "N" word when she was three!) Gratefully, he's finally gone. Well, not gone, exactly...his ashes are in a box in my garage. Behind the weedkiller on the shelf.

Do I miss him? Words cannot express...

I have always been considered the family's royal pain in the ass. So, I'm gonna have to say (in fear for my own life) "PLEASE no shooting!"

Of course, there's a few people in the family who I consider to be more of a pain in the ass than I am. But instead of shooting them (since I'm not a very violent person), I have the urge to beat them down with a wiffle bat. Less painful and normally doesn't lead to death. But, oh, it makes you feel loads better.

I take the 5th on account my answer might implicate me.

I shoot daggers at them with my death glare and remain completely silent, they usually retreat of their own accord.

I wish soooo much that we could shoot!! I really and truly do. I have loads of these shootable people in my family. My current target would be my aunt...she makes my blood boil.
