The Easter trip went well.Otis hardly made a peep on the way to Pittsburgh.Coming home he was a little vocal. It seemed when ever we climbed in altitude he would meow.We are not sure,we think he might of had some pressure build up in his ears. All in all he did good,it was a pleasant trip this time around.
I hope you all had a nice holiday weekend. We had a great time. Our 9 month old niece started crawling in late January. We got to witness that. She is also standing and trying to walk. She was the entertainment on Easter Sunday,so much fun to watch.
Things went well with the sister in law.She was in good spirits and no illnesses of any kind this time. Her and Mom have made peace, which we all are so thankful for.
No manic Sue Ann this Easter, her and her hubby were busy cooking for the 10 jobs they have this week.Easter was much quieter this year, phew. No ringing in my ears this year, lol.
The food was wonderful.Poor Tim was close to exploding.Since we had joined the YMCA we have both cut down on portions.Hes not used to eating like that anymore he felt like a tic that was about to pop. With as much as I wanted extra helpings I remained in control so I had room for dessert!
We went to Mass saturday night. Was a long mass 2 hours, good grief. There were a few conformations and a lot of baptisms. If it wasn't for the small children in the pew infront of us lending the "comic relief" those would of been the 2 longest hours of my life.I survived church and didn't burst into flames.Just a sore butt, those wooden pews are good reminders of aches and pains. At Christmas I am bringing a stadium pad.
I met Uncle Bernies oldest sister and her husband.Rita is 81 and her husband John is 85.They have been married 61 years, very sweet people.Unfortunately John was diagnosed with Alzheimers 3 years ago.He has good days and bad days.Rita is a retired nurse and takes care of John.Rita had said that morning John had looked at her and said "You sure are good to me,I should of married you".Rita laughed and told him they had been married for 61 years. He loves to hold her hand and they did a lot of hand holding on Easter,it was very sweet. She has told him when the time comes that he requires more care,no matter where it is she will go with him.It was refreshing to see that for a couple married 61 years even with illness and diversity they still had passion.Passion for one another and passion for life, truly inspiring.Im thankful I was able to meet them.I hope there will be many more times to come.
Was a very pleasant weekend. The highlights beeing that Mom and sister in law have mended fences,I got to spend time with my niece and I got to meet Rita and John.
I hope you all had a pleasant weekend. That you were able to enjoy your families and friends.Hopefully no one ended up hung over or with heart burn or a touch of Montezuma's revenge.
