 Egg on my face
I just don't have it in me to hear " Lady, you are too old and too fat to be trick or treating"....That I am here blogging out my menusha this evening. Another reason is Tim is hogging the t.v. World series game #3 and I'm no baseball fan. Or sports fan for that matter. If you are....enjoy....as for me...I'll be grumbling about not having control of the remote, to watch my own kind of crap.

Tim's folks got into town lastnight from the "Burg".....Pittsburgh that is. We spent today in Philly....the four of us are pretty wiped out. Maybe of maybe if I had a Segway...I'd try to get away with trick or treating. On second thought....that sounds like too much effort. Thank gawd my kids are grown is all I can say. My dogs are barking amongst other body parts.

Took the train into the city. Went to the Constitution center. Watched a program called freedom rings. Was pretty good though, being in the warm and dark made me sleepy. Walked through Reading terminal market. I hit way too many people with my purse. Not on purpose....its too big and too in the way. I spent most of my time apologising and excusing my purses behavior. We ate at the city diner. I have a new addiction....fried egg cheeseburgers. No cheeseburger will ever be the same again....unless theres a fried egg and bacon on top. Good stuff! I have the excess water retention to proove it. I can rest assured I'll be peeing like a Russian race horse tomorrow.

The train ride home was uneventfull. I am finding the older I get....the easier it is for me to fall asleep ANYWHERE. Not for lack of stimulation.....if it's warm, dark, overcast, or hums I am a goner. I'll be snoring and getting woken up with sharp objects being jabbed at me. I don't have a problem with my snoring. I can't hear it. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I suppose it's another story for those that bare witness to my log sawing. I have come to the conclusion when I'm done....I'm just that...done. I kind of like getting older....There's so much I don't have to worry about anymore....

Like....whether or not I snore on public transportation.

LOL!! Hey, I've been told I snore too. As well as grind my teeth. Yeah, I tend to keep people awake with that. Sounds like your night is about as eventful as mine except I don't even want the TV. There's not a damn thing on! Not only that I get on here and at first it seemed as though I was gonna be ALL alone on here for the night, but a couple have come back..lol. Hugs to you:)

I'm so thrilled to hear another woman admit to snoring! I will be adding this to my list as another reason why I like you so much:)

Kiddo I didn't get one trick or treater, what the hell's the matter with these kids?.....I'm not too happy about that. I at least had ONE last year!

It's always nice to bump into friends. It's also a bonus to know that you are not alone.

Happy Halloween!

P.S. Hugs back at you Mama:)

Pita,

The kids are all telling each other, "Don't go to that lady's house, she snores on the train" ... as the kids run away screaming franticly to the next house.

The "Snoring Lady's House" is legendary in your neighborhood among children at Halloween ... LOL

LOL! Thom as long as its the bad kids running away! I'd hate to think I would scare the little kids:(

I better go see if I was egged!

I also have been told I snore too, but like you it doesn't bother me at all, especially as it doesn't keep me awake. I don't mind getting older at all, gives me lots of excuses for just doing my thing.

Hope you have a nice Halloween, nobody comes knocking on my door either I think there might be a hidden sign out there that say's "grumpy old women lives here"

Scott you have troubles sleeping? That stinks:(

For years I fought sleep. I suppose I was afraid I would miss something...either that or stress? Most likely stress. Now a days it doesn't take much for me to pass out. The problem lies in staying asleep...that one I need to work on.

I have to admit, I'm a little jealous of the sleeping thing. I pretty much can't sleep anywhere. I once took a night flight to England and I was the only one on the plane who was wide awake all night. Do you have any idea how boring that is?? They don't even play movies cuz...everyone's sleeping!! Cripes!

Sharn its very freeing isn't it?

Unfortunately Halloween was a bust...no trick or treaters:( Flip side is I did see a girl wearing devil horns on the train. That was as close as I got to Halloween this year.

Girl we are not grumpy....just more realistic:)

Boots that's awful. Those long flights are hard enough...let alone not being able to sleep to make the time pass quicker.

Last time I flew from Germany to New York, there was this elderly drunk man on the plane. Made for an interesting flight. A stewardess would get him seated...as soon as she left...he'd be up again wandering in the aisles and singing. Good grief...I think he sang every song Peggy Lee recorded!

Pita,

Who the hell could sleep anyway with some drunk guy doing a bad rendition of an old Peggy Lee tune?

Funny thing is I can still remember what that old fart looks like to this day. Whenever I have heard the phrase "is that all there is?" That old coot pops into my mind!

Och, you poor old thing! Mind you, I know just what you mean. I had a great night last night out at dinner with friends, but by 10.30 I was lusting for my bed and sleep. God bless us, but how time changes us. B now sits in one room watching sport and I sit in another watching my choice of programmes. We pop our heads round the door every now and then to say Hi. I used to sit beside him watching anything he liked - yuk! Makes me sick to think I did that - lol.

Miss E you do much better than I. Around 8p.m. I start to peter out. I wonder if I should wait longer to get my jammies on? Couldn't hurt to try, I suppose.

Tim and I have such different tastes when it comes to the boob tube. We have come pretty good at rolling our eyes.....trying to watch what the other one is watching. If you have control of the remote in our house. You hold the power.

If I have to watch one more episode of cash cab I swear....I'll vomit on that man!

I often fall asleep holding the remote.

LMAO, Pita! I snore and can easily fall asleep anywhere now, too! And, I don't care! THAT is old age and aging gracefully :)

Love Uncle Charlie's comment, too! xo
