 Political Candidates
First off, I don't believe that politics are anywhere near what they need to be in the United States.  I just would like to state that before continuing.

I also believe that the United States has a lot to learn from the policies of other countries, if we want to admit it or not.
I believe that the best global policy is in the European Union right now, and the US is struggling to keep up.
There has been talk about replacing the universally accepted dollar with the Euro, and again, the US seems to be oblivious.

OK, with that said, let's run over the Political candidates.  I am by no means republican OR democrat.  I just want to provide an accurate opinion of the top leaders, as well as some of the stragglers.

Here's my belief.
Let's start with the leaders in the Democratic party.
Hillary Clinton: Can anyone see a repeat of the 2004 elections?  Maybe a flip-flop accuisation?
I can see how Clinton is going to be accused of this.  There already have been accuisations that she has flipped on key issues.  These, regardless of there truth, wind up destroying a candidates legitimacy amongst the people.
Clinton is accused of flipping on this issue, more than any other.  She publicly denounces the current administrations policy on Iraq, however does not talk very much about how she would change it.

This leads me to speak about the next top Democratic candidate, Barack Obama.
Obama is the other leading favorite amongst the Democratic party.
Obama, unlike Hillary speaks out agianst the current administration and spits out plans to improve everything under the sun.
The familiarity of this promising and then never living up to it is very familiar to the 2004 elections.  That, coupled with the flip flopping accuisations could make this another fateful and unpromising election.

Let's move on to the Republicans now.
Let's start with Giuliani.  He was the 'fearless' mayor of New York during the horrific times of 2001.  He has promised that there will be reform in immigration, a strong physical boarder put up between ourselves and Mexico.  His biggest issue right now is that he is pro-choice.  This is not quite the feelings of the rest of the 'separation of church and state...what??' Republicans.  Pro-Life is the way that most Republicans think, and when there is a candidate that doesn't match up with this, generally they lose the favor...however, the thought of building a fence, and 'shootin' some mexican bastards' is convincing enough for those rednecks who want to use boarder-jumpers as target practice.

So, the question remains; who is the best candidate, and who really will follow through with their commitments to us?
