IDF - the Independant Game Festival: Part III - Wi
The third IDF finalist that I played was World of Goo. This is another physics-based game in which you drag little creatures to pull threads of goo in attempts to build a tower. The full game looks like it will have a lot more to offer in the area of level design but the demo that I was able to download only showed how the game works and allowed me to build the tallest tower possible before it all crashed down.

The goal is to create support, balance and a sturdy framework to keep your tower from toppling. It isn't easy. Still, I would have liked to get a sense of the actual goal of the game. However, like I said, it was only a tech demo and did not give me any actual levels to play.

I have been watching X-Play's GDC coverage and my head a splode! Gears of War 2 people! November people (allegedly)! I'm also excited about a few more 360 titles this year, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Fable 2 being, well, "2" of those. I don't follow the hype train. I've learned my lesson (Lair) and have been burned may times (Street Fighter EX). But the announcement of these sequels has me hyped. I will blab more about GDC at a later time. TTYL!
