The Ocean


Look at the ocean, so wide & blue.
It's always showing me what is true!
It always reflects my feelings, my moods.
And the ocean breeze is so nice & cool.

As I stand here on the shore,
feeling as I never have before,
with the wind blowing against my face,
I can sense God's warmth & gentle grace.

How it fills my heart with such love!
It makes my soul take flight , like a dove.
No longer sad, angry, or depressed,
I am completely healed & destressed.

Oh, God above, I give you praise.
Thank you for showing me your ways!
Thank you for giving me life today.
Thank you for hearing me when I pray.

Thanks, my God, for the beauty in my life.
Thank you for taking away all the strife.
Thanks for helping me to see the light.
Thanks for helping me do what's right.

Thanks for letting me stand on the seashore,
now listening to the ocean's mighty roar.
For as the wind & I become one once more,
I feel my soul start to soar.
