I am happy to say I survived the past two weeks without major incident. Having only been in a new position for two months and still trying to overcome the learning curve, I was told my supervisor would be gone for two weeks and basically, I was on my own. I would be doing his job and mine in the interim. (Not all of his job of course, or I would expect all of his paycheck which I am sure is heaps and gobs more than mine.)
Nonetheless, it has put a good bit of pressure on me to try to hold things together and get done all that needed to be done. The past two weeks have felt like me sitting way out on the limb and dimly hearing the sound of a saw behind me.
So today I declare, Hallelujah! I am still alive! That buzzing sound is gone and tonight I shall sleep soundly.
