| What the hell is wrong with the world?

I just heard about the shooting at NIU today and I am so upset. School is supposed to be a safe place! I can't imagine what motive someone would have for opening fire on hundreds of innocent students, just there to learn. If someone is so upset that they feel the need to be that violent and inflict death and injury, why can't they keep it to themselves? Why do they have to kill others as well?
I'm scared to go to class tomorrow. I'm angry that people like him, and the shooter at Virginia Tech last year, and at Dawson College, and well... the list goes on - I'm angry that people like him are taking away my right to assemble in a school, to learn without fear. Are they trying to make a public statement? What kind of message are people like this trying to get out? I don't understand how someone can be human yet do such horrific things.
I'm praying for the victims of today's massacre, and for their friends and family, as well as for every student now fearful of going to school.

Dear peace-seeker,
Are you sure that your in the real world?
I've gone to schools in five different states, and in all of them I have found schools to be the most violent times of my life.
I watched bullies and beatings and verbal abuse, worse than I got at home.
Your parents didn't do a damn thing to stop it when you were in grade school what makes you think colleges are supposed to be safe!
Anyone who labels schools as safe, are sticking their heads in the sand.
I won't bore you with all the different types of violence on campus, for surely you should already know.
But to just arbitrarily say that schools are a place of safety is to be nieve!

we're of d same sentiment.this world is in chaos.school is not spared.i pity the innocent.anyway,the damaged has been done.jst continue ur schooling BUT BE CAREFUL NOW.start practicing self defense.so u will be prepared always.Just like life.we should be prepared always as we do not know our end.Think God is always on our side.By then, u will never be afraid.GOD BLESS!!!
