well, ive been in China for three days and i think i should tell some things.
- it is so polluted here that its not only about 90 degrees everyday but the skyscrapers only a couple hundred feet away are cloudy; there is no such thing as a blue sky day, the sky is cloudy and overcast everyday and the sun looks like it has a swcreen over it and now you can look directly at it without the whole burning of the corneas thing.
- i visited a factory today. it was small, had 5 machines and had about ten workers there at the time. not all factories are like the ones in the euro book and as big as the indiana jones warehouses.
- the knockoff markets are huge, government sanctioned and everywhere. and there are the little chinese ppl that come up to you on the street and ask if you want to buy watches, bags and shoes. and if you don't immediately say no or show some hesitation, then they will just keep asking. and follow you around. for an hour.....
- cars avoid hitting people. they yield to pedestrians and they are everywhere. people just walk into the middle of the road. and for cars, seatbelts, road lines and turn signals are ignored. there are more bikers, scooters, and walking people than cars. thats why they can take over the roadways. Ps- cars can stop in the middle of the road. even in the highway. and since there are no rest stop areas people can stop and pee on the roadside. no lie.
