I have to admit, I am thinking of voting for Obama. I am a Republican
and I am thinking of voting for him? Why? Well, it is time to try something
different and also to have hope. HOWEVER, who is Obama, really? Will he
live up to the hype or will he be just more of the same? I don't like being
cynical, so I am thinking about voting for him. But, his wife seems a little
abrasive, so I keep thinking there is more to him that we don't know about.
You have to give Hillary some credit. She didn't put the country through
a Presidential divorce. She could have divorced Billy while he was the Prez.
Imagine that? I guess you can be cynical an say she needed him for her
political career. Maybe. It is just that, I was a little stronger for Obama until
I saw how abrasive his wife is. I would be pissed if we elected him and got
a Presidential divorce out of the deal, or some other scandal. I'm not impressed
with the missus is all I am saying. She seems a little to abrasive and a lot too
comfortable with politics. I guess you can say that about Hillary too, but then again,
the country was treated to a bunch of scandals courtesy of the Clintons during that Presidency.
SO, once again...Obama, who is he?

Michelle is probably just a real person. I remember I went all throught the psych. stuff, compassion, empathy, P.C. But that's been done to death, and by this time, twisted and misapplied. Maybe it's back to the not P.C. comedy, raunchy, "mean" stuff of Carol Burnett show? Maybe we can be less than perfect, and be frank, and still get along, because we understand!

paul, I would recommend checking out some actual speeches of Michelle's...she is very down to earth. And what i think some "right wing" pundits are calling abrasive...is actually level-headedness of a women who never had "designs" on washington. She's not looking for approval or is approaching this as some "tactical game" to be won.
And you have to think about the fact that she still has young kids...and is most likely expending alot of energy trying to protect them from the media scutiny that she herself and her husband are finding themselves in.
In other words, she's not fake.
And she's not about playing some political game.
She's about supporting her husband, and protecting her kids.
She's smart and wise, and wouldn't just sit there silent and glassy eyed with a smile pasted on her face while her husband sent our loved ones into a war under false pretences.
Sorry...i went off a little bit... :)
I'm pretty passionate about all of this. I'm glad your thinking about doing some more research :) Each one of us becoming active and involved and informed is what is going to make the positive difference in this nation.
